Greetings! I'm Monika, a seasoned UX leader,
design strategist and adept problem solver.
With nearly two decades of experience, I led diverse interdisciplinary teams, fostering relationships with both designers and stakeholders to build seamless and intuitive experiences for Fortune 50 companies. I have a background working in large matrixed, multi-national organizations on enterprise-wide initiatives for brands like HSBC Global Bank, AT&T, CDW, Grainger, Humana, and Allstate.
My journey began in Visual Design, and over the years, I evolved into UX Design and Research. During my career, I have been involved in product definition, vision, and strategy and championed insight-led, data-driven, human-centered experiences.
To deepen my knowledge of research methods, I completed a UX Research Talent Share at Allstate while maintaining my managerial responsibilities. This opportunity enabled me to co-lead discovery efforts for mobile space, conduct in-depth competitive analysis, and support JTBD efforts to advance the evolution of the Mobile App.

I led design initiatives for two distinct business units where I was responsible for resourcing and planning, creating roadmaps, prioritization, and feature definition. I spearheaded transformative efforts amidst organizational restructuring and rebranding at Allstate. We successfully launched numerous direct-to-consumer and B2B products during this dynamic period, leveraging interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based innovation. Amidst the flux, I collaborated on a strategy for expanding and scaling an enterprise-wide Design System, ensuring coherence across diverse projects and teams.
I joined Allstate as a hire number 14 and was a part of building a UX practice from the ground up. I witnessed growth to 200 team members supporting 79 products across multiple business areas. I was in charge of UI efforts for a B2B initiative to transform a suite of Allstate agents' applications into a modern and seamless experience. I oversaw multiple paired design teams and created a first-ever design system at the company to create efficiencies and design consistency. Established design strategy, processes and managed vendor relationships as a part of a multidisciplinary lead team.
During my short time at Humana, I established myself as a versatile designer and strong user advocate. I partnered with the innovation team to ideate and develop concepts for new products. I conducted primary and secondary research on behavioral changes, specifically targeting diabetes patients, to inform the vision for a new product. In addition, I designed solutions for Humana.com that aligned with the research insights and project objectives.
I was a part of a two-year migration period to a new e-commerce platform within a high-velocity agile environment. As the sole designer for a mobile e-commerce website and iOS and Android applications, I partnered closely with Product, Technology, and UX team members to deliver high-quality designs.
